Having lived in NYC,

Spitzer did some good......but he did a LOT of harm.

He prosecuted some bad guys.....but went on some incredible witch hunts.

Some of the innocent he went after spent their entire life savings before being found innocent.

All of his cases were highly publisized, self agrandizement for Mr. Spitzer, who parlayed that into a Governorship.

He bragged about how dumb some of his targets were for using email and cell phones to carry out their criminal activity.

So, The FBI (on the tip of a bank) is worried about some funny wire transfers that had the appearances of a Governor involved in bribes........only to find out via Mr. Spitzer's emails and cell phone transmittals that the ol' Gov was hiring prostitutes from NYC's leading escort service.

God, Karma is a bitch.

Bingo, there's nothing like a visit from the karma biotch. The saddest thing was seeing his wife there as a pawn, and as Charles Krauthhammer (sp?) said it on Brit Hume's evening Fox news broadcast, that's a hanging offense.

I think Robin Williams put it this way ---

"God gave men a brain and a penis, but only enough blood to opperate one of them at a time."

what gets me is you can get a "gal" via craigs list here in Dallas for $200 and he is paying $5000??

and yes I am looking because it maybe cheaper in the long run

The difference?

The $200 Craigslist girl in Dallas is actually a Dallas Vice Undercover Cop.

The $5,000 "should have been for" absolute discretion (and maybe a smidgeon of quality difference :) )

And the hilarious thing is (and this goes down in the all time hall of fame history of Karma), if not for very specific changes in surveillance rules that Mr. Eliot himself pushed through as NYCDA, that $5k would have purchased the silence he needed. Without his own actions as DA, he wouldn't have been busted as Gov.

I'm not entierly sure what a "petard" is, but I'm quite sure that the govener has been hoist by his.

When you come riding in on your white horse with your sword held high, it's prudent to remember to have put your britches on.

Karma has a way of doing that.

or.. as The Great One" put it in his role as Bufor T. Justice in a 70s hit movie, "If you're gonna hang out in places like this, wear a badge on your didey"
