My goodness, I just thought of something...you guys play in Tempe on New Year's Eve, and we'll be playing Glendale (another suburb of Phoenix) the day after...that's crazy...I wonder if they're ready for the Oklahomans coming their way....

Good luck in the Insight...I have troubles rooting against IU (because Hoeppner was a coach at Miami OH, where my mom got her master's and also taught), but I'll be rooting for you guys....

If Oklahoma had wound up playing Kansas in the Fiesta Bowl (as I had seen in several projections), it could have been a very, very interesting few days for Tempe/Glendale.

If memory serves me though, I think ASU's campus is a pretty good jaunt from the Cardinals' new stadium, so I wouldn't think there'd be a lot of chance for Sooners and Cowboys to collide.

If I'm wrong though, can you say "West End West"? :)

Geeze, topdaug, I hate to disappoint you, but our house will be cheering for West Virginia. I'll be in Oklahoma for both games, so my daughter's house should be very interesting with her being a dedicated U of O fan, and me cheering for WV!!! :D I'm sure she will and cheer for Indiana just to get things started! ;) It will all be in fun though.

Go Cowboys!

Go Mountaineers!

She spent more time with her dad who is a U of O grad, so she grew up going to all the games with him. :o At least my other children, even my new step children, are die hard Cowboys!!!! :D

edit: Just received this IM from my daughter: great! LOL OU is playing WV in the fiesta bowl. I just can't get away from rooting against a team different than you. lol

* We play Dec. 31st.
* You play Jan. 2nd.

So, not quite as back-to-back as it could be.
