My wife ran that, too. She got something like 1.55.

No wonder you haven't been around much lately. It's all that PT, isn't it?

Dude, seriously, my wife is very serious about her running and only got 45 mins better than you (as a girl, no offense to the feminist sections), so that's pretty dern good. Especially for a first time! Yay for you.
I ran my marathon back in 02 or 03, the OKC one. I finished and was able to check that box on my "I did that" list and never plan on doing that again.

Thanks Mike. I was happy with my time for my first one. It was pretty much what I planned. I would like to improve for my next one whenever it is. Thinking about the Memorial in April.
I don't know that I want to check off the box for a full marathon. I can't imagine doing what I did this Sunday and only being halfway finished.

Nice. I think it would take me 2 days and 40 minutes.

Great job JD. That is not slow for your first time. Awesome.
I am training for the full marathon at the OKC memorial this year, never done it before and never plan on doing it again. But it has been a good challenge for me!

My wife crossed at 1.55 and said they were working on a guy at the finish line. Turns out some former ttek baseball player Mark Austry crossed at 1.47 and collasped and died at 32.

Congratulations CJD!! My wife used to run the 1/2 marathon every year at the OKC Marathon. It made me tired just watching. It really takes self-discipline.

The first year I was asked to run in one of those, I respectfully declined. That worked out so well, I haven't run in one since.

I have decided to start walking after the baby is born in preparation to walk the Thunder Road 1/2 marathon (http://www.runcharlotte.com/races-halfmarathon.htm) in December.
