I know that the section I sat in last night had an overaggressive OSU police officer last night and apparently the same thing happened on the other end. I know by the end of the game we were subdued by the tone of the game, but the police did not help. I don't believe in conspiracies, so can someone gives me a good reason the police were actively keeping the students from getting into the game, including before it started? I sat behind 918 and at one point we had a police officer standing behind us and he was willing to throw some of out if we gave him a reason. At first I just thought it was our group but the people by the OU beach were told not to use megaphones. How are we supposed to be the " rowdiest arena in America” if the police are keeping us down?
If someone knows or can find out what is going on and care share please do.
p.s. This usually not the case and if they have had a problem before they walk over, tell us not to step forward, or don't do whatever, you'll make my llife harder.

I am taking a shot in the dark here... but I assume that the police where told to keep a close eye on any kind of loud distractions or fighting or taunting... due to the fact it is an OU game, plus Bedlam, and games with OU generally do get out of hand in the stands (yes it rhymes)
Lots of fans fighting and if we would of won I am sure they were concerned with safety issues with climbing down the rails to get on the court to rush the court...
Also, knowing OU fans, they probably have complained in the past about OSU student conduct during games so I am sure that is why they were looming over the crowd.
They were probably would have gotten ripped by the Chief if something would have happened in the crowd.

Coach - That's generally the gist of it.
I've been here so long that I've gotten to be pretty good friends with most of the OSU police and Payne County sheriffs they assign to the games, and despite popular conception, they're a group of good guys. Always been friendly (so long as you respect them), and they've got a pretty good idea of how to deal with students in a way that is respectful and polite.
Every year though, it seems like there's a new officer or two that doesn't know how things go, and they try to do everything by the book. Those are the ones that really ride your ass, and while they're not technically overstepping their authority, they're a lot less inclined to let the little things go.
Anyway - I was told that last night, law enforcement received specific instruction to watch the fans because of it being Bedlam, and because of that guy being ejected two games ago. So, if it seemed like everybody was a litle tenser last night, that's why.
