Police: 4-Year-Old Girl Drunk At School
THE VILLAGE, Okla. -- Authorities are investigating the apparent intoxication of a 4-year-old girl at an Oklahoma City elementary school on Wednesday, police said.
The child was carried out of Andrew Johnson Elementary School by a paramedic, according to an officer with The Village Police Department.
"We don't believe it happened on school ground. We believe it happened before she got to school today," said Deputy Chief Steve Jagosh.

Jagosh said his department was called by school officials to check on the child, who they described as acting strangely. Teachers told officers that they smelled an odor of alcohol on the girl.
The girl was taken to Children's Hospital in good condition, authorities said. However, Oklahoma City spokeswoman Kathleen Kennedy denied that the child was transported anywhere.
Police said they will investigate how the child was able to access alcohol.
After the child is released from the hospital, officials said, she will be taken into Department of Human Services custody, police said.

I wouldn't be so quick to indict the parents. You didn't say that with Tuba's accident did you?
Maybe they were negligent, then again, maybe it was the work of a sibling, or just an an overly inquisitive toddler that managed to jimmy the lock on the liquor cabinet.
Sometimes there's a problem, and sometimes they are just accidents. I'll wait for the facts to make a statement like that.

How could the person who dropped her off at school or daycare not know she had drank some alcohol? Just a question.

I agree....
I can see how someone might make a mistake and leave a sweet liquor (or cough syrup?) within reach but I don't see how someone would fail to recognize that the child was acting a tad off when she was taken to school.
We probably won't ever hear the details.

If I just did six shots of vodka, I don't immediately start walking zig zags. If I don't get right in your face, chances are, 15 minutes later, you have no idea I've got a major buzz coming.
I'm just saying you don't know the facts, and on the surface, this is no different than Aiden's story. That's all.

That may prove to be the case here, but I haven't seen evidence of that yet.

I work downtown. We have a small store front. In the winter we have a regular bum that comes in and has coffee and warms up. (I told them not to let the bastard in, so don't start on me) He came in not too long ago. Straight as a Baptist preacher. Sat down on a stool and burned a smoke. He never moved. When he finished his cig, he got up to go to the john. Took one step and fell flat in the floor. Drunk as nine kinds of hell. He never moved after he came in. I watched him from the time he came in until he hit the tile. Best we could figure he killed a pint before he came in, cause he was sober when he got there, but he was drunk when we tossed him out 15 minutes later.
I'm just sayin. I'm not sure how much it would take to get a 4 yo loaded, but it can't be much, and it might take some time. Not as long as a 50 yo, fat bum, but it might take 15 minutes or so.

Actually, she did, but privately (she also has said multiple times that she was going to come to NC to kick my butt multiple times). And I believe I explained in the "Massive Prayers Needed" thread adequately about what happened.
If you want a further explanation, I'll be happy to tell you in PM.
