It's not the fact he didn't "go here", it's how he handled the entire situation. As of yesterday he was still "solid" with OSU. He's been "solid" with OSU since August and then switches on signing day, that's what she is refering to as being classless.

I only hope that he informed our staff so that we could make other offers.

It is really crappy of a kid to do something like this because of the adverse affect on the coaches, and on other kids that would really like to have that offer, but may have made other decisions . . .

It's selfish, self centered and just plain wrong.

I don't mind a kid holding out and making a decision on signing day, but to switch at the last minute is just plain rude and inconsiderate; especially to another kid that might have really wanted that roster spot but didn't get the offer because of this flip-flopper.

Oops. Guess I was wrong. I now realize that it's HIGHLY commendable, as well as highly ethical, to play the coaching staff and leave them in the lurch at the last minute to get a little attention for yourself. How ridiculous and silly it would be to go ahead and tell them several weeks in advance of your plans, so that they could pursue other options. No, it's far better to make vague references to "doing something flashy on signing day."

I sure feel better now that I see the light!

Hmmm, I thought lying/playing someone was acceptable.

That comparison might fly if the situations were in any way parallel. But they aren't.

I love how God was telling this punk that OSU was the place to go and then on signing day he acts like an ass with the shirt gimmick. What a complete phony loser.

Hate it when I am right on something like this but saw it coming with his comments the last few weeks...

Verb

He told the coaching staff as well as the Tulsa World that he was "still solid" as late as last Wednesday. His mother told Robert Allen LAST NIGHT that he was solid. Wow....

Well to say otherwise would have taken away from his "flashy" press conference today.

Kind of one of those deals that..if he doesn't want to be here, then glad he isn't....

He picked Arkansas.. I wish him luck... not going to cry over ONE kid choosing to go to another program... JUST GLAD IT WAS OUTSIDE THE CONFERENCE FOR A CHANGE..I was really tired of losing them to OU/Texas...

So Barnett pulls a Ryan Broyles on us and becomes a hog. Oh well, hope he enjoys a medicore career, that is if he can stay out of trouble long enough to have one. Smells like a piece of hog poo to me,so that type belongs up there anyways.

I'm not gonna lose much sleep on this. Would I have liked to see him as a Poke?...sure. But I guess he wants to play for a team that will never challenge for an SEC title as opposed to one that is making noise in the toughest division in all of college football.

GO POKES!!!

we apparently do need him (at least for 2011); now we'll have to come up with another plan, since we're losing Jarka, Hubbard and Donaldson.

Not to mention we only have Jarka, Donaldson, Nicholas, Hubbard and Rogers to work with right now for 2010.

You know what? We needed him yesterday right up to the point he showed the world that he is a self-centered showboat. He chose. It wasn't us. Now, this doofus is recruiting history and we don't need him because we don't have him - the players we NEED are the ones in or coming to Stillwater. Good luck to him over in Pig Heaven...maybe he'll qualify and stay eligible.
