I might be wrong, but isn't the Texas bowl also televised by the NFL network? I tend to think the blame for this mistake falls on the conference leadership. How can you allow two of the bowls your conference is affiliated with to be televised on a network that nobody has easy access to. At best it is a poor arrangement.

Goon fans will be out there in full force, as their game is a few days after ours. Nothing worse than going to your bowl game and finding sooners all over the place.

The nfl network is available to everyone who has direct tv.

Not every one has ESPN. But I would still dig being on espn. The problem is the cable companies blow if they don't have the nfl network. The blame falls on your cable network. Not the big 12.

Generally in situations like these there's plenty of blame to go around. My take is just because the Big 12 goes slumming with the NFL network once doesn't mean they should do it twice. As a fan, I see the benefits of a bowl game as added practice time and more exposure for the football team. We still get the practice time. The exposure, not so much... And that's a shame.

Jerry Jones owns the NFL network, so I would imagine that the bowl tie-ins with his network as well at the just announced aTm - Arkie, and the proposed Tek - oSu games at Jerry World are all related somehow.

Well at least we made it to a Bowl. Just suck it's so far away, and so close to the Gooners.
