I can't see your youtube video, it's blocked at work, but where's Kanye when you REALLY need him?

There are American Idol hopefuls better than Taylor Swift. Good Lord Almighty she was bad.

I have always thought Taylor Swift and Nick Jonas hit every disconsonant note possible in their songs. I cannot understand how they are considered "good" singers.

You win the longest word award today, and if it means they can't sing worth a sheet, you also get the post-of-the-week award (until someone steals it away).:cool-smiley-027:

I like Taylor. She is easy on the eyes, sing fairly down to earth songs, family oriented songs that I don't mind my daughter listening to. She is very mainstream yet at the same time very complimentary and loyal (for now) to Nashville. She writes most of her own music; its real and simple. I think she is very good for country music as long as she remains a good ambassador to the pop world.

That being said, I was appalled when she won female vocalist of the year over singers like Carrie and Martina, for an award that is supposed to reward singing achievement. Please. That being said, Gretchen Wilson did win it a few years back in another intelligent move by the CMA.

Also, Taylor winning Entertainer of the Year for the CMA... really? I know she is big right now, but you can't tell me that she has done more for country music than Carrie has done in the past few years. I guess they didn't want to give it to a former Idol and they were tired of giving it to Kenny Chesney. This is supposed to be the top TOP award given for the golden tier of country music; she is around for around 2 years and she belongs in that group? To show what it means... Reba and Tim McGraw and Brooks & Dunn and Shania and Willie and Dolly each only have won it once. George Strait and Vince Gill and Bocephus have only won twice each. Alan Jackson and Alabama won it 3 times each while Garth and Chesney have it four each. The CMA does have a history of trying to break the monotony with picking the big up and comer early as happen with Dixie Chicks and Keith Urban both getting it after their second albums were released. At the same time, Garth did get his first one after the release of his 2nd album.
