NewsOK.com is reporting that Blake Griffin underwent scope surgery on a torn meniscus and is out until the post season tournament.
Definately puts a different spin on wednesday's game.

OU's Blake Griffin out until postseason

NORMAN -- Oklahoma must make its final postseason push without Blake Griffin.
The 6-10 freshman who leads OU in scoring and rebounding underwent arthroscopic surgery Sunday morning for a partially torn medial meniscus in his right knee, an injury suffered five minutes into Saturday's 64-37 victory over Texas A&M.
Griffin will miss the Sooners' remaining regular-season games at Oklahoma State Wednesday and against Missouri Saturday, but is expected back sometime during the postseason.
Exactly when that is will likely be determined by Griffin's recovery. The Sooners, who are sitting on the NCAA tournament fence with a 19-10 overall record and a 7-7 Big 12 Conference mark, must hope he rebounds as he did from his first knee injury.
Griffin sprained the medial collateral ligament in his left knee at Kansas Jan. 14. Initially ruled out for as long as four weeks, he returned to lead OU past Baylor Jan. 26.
The Sooners won their only full game without Griffin, 63-61 over Texas Tech Jan. 19, when Taylor Griffin and Longar Longar both scored 16 points and combined for 21 rebounds. OU will need similar efforts from both this week, as they become the Sooners' two only healthy scholarship frontcourt players.
Longar has been bothered by a fractured lower leg since the start of Big 12 play, and just went through his first full practice since the injury occurred last Friday. He contributed 14 points and eight rebounds to the Sooners' victory over A&M Saturday.
Griffin sustained the injury after forcing Aggie forward Brian Davis into a missed shot. Griffin appeared to get tangled up with Davis while landing in his attempt for a rebound, and his knee was struck from the outside.
Griffin played 20 seconds before being replaced. He went into the locker room for an initial examination, missed 10 minutes of action, then returned for the final 25. He wound up with 13 points and eight rebounds, near his season averages of 15.2 and 9.3.
That's a shame. I hate to see a young athlete get a serious injury.

I don't think this injury is very serious, as far as knee injuries go. Correct me if I'm wrong, but a more serious injury would be the one that Toston suffered last season. None the less, any injury is worse than no injury.
I hope he heals quickly and goes to the NBA even more quickly!!! :D

That is too bad. I like seeing talent come to GIA (and go home in defeat). And I agree with PP02 - heal quickly and get to the NBA!

Second injury this season, might slow his exit to NBA?

Hate this for Blake. Hate it for my Cowboys. Now an ass kicking at GIA will have an asterik by it for all Goons......and maybe even the NCAA selection committee. Would love for UO to be at full strength on Wednesday.

I agree, would rather beat them at full strength than listen to everyone say it was only because Blake was hurt.

Why would you listen to OU fan's anyways?
The only OU fan I take time to listen to is my Dad and we talk about the.seasons in general and don't get to to in depth over the Bedlam games and have never had a problem.

It doesn't bother me any, especially since they're reporting that it is not that serious and he'll be back for the Tournament.
Just win baby... I'll take it any way we can get it. We're playing for an NCAA birth and everything helps at this point.
.... if they beat us without him, now that would be bad.
