LUBBOCK, Texas -- Texas Tech football coach Mike Leach, who was accused of mistreating a player who had a "mild" concussion, has been fired by the university.

and in tomorrows news:
"Adam James gets his a** kicked by angry mob"
They will live to regret this day. They'll never get a coach as successful as Leach to come to Lubbock. Fools.

So Leech gets fired for not letting a player come out of the closet?
I guess Leech's pirate ship doesn't have the "Don't Ask Don't Tell" policy.

Leach fired. Texas Tech are officially the stupidest motherf@#@ers on the face of the planet. New head coach announced: Craig James, of no coaching experience, ability, or prior aspirations to be a head coach. Jesus Jack Daniels Christ, there’s analysis to follow, but Texas Tech just ate a hand grenade salad, shat out the pins, and then gave the thumbs-up as the whole mess rumbled in their belly.

So the James family takes down a 2nd football program.

Read this email string from the Dallas Morning News

I don't know that I entirely understood that email string, but I think Tech is looking stupider by the second.

Did anyone just catch the half time discussion on ESPN about the decision. Phone conversation with the Chancellor of TT and him saying that Leach was being hard headed about it. Plus apparently Leach admitted to LOCKING the James kid in a room and apparently giving him a cussing.
Plus a twitter or facebook by one of the current players saying that the team is better off because he is gone.
Hummm. Maybe it wasn't happyville in Lubbock.

Just watched a youtube video of a texas tv station touring the rooms the James kid was in with his mild concusion. they are not sheds or electrical closets. Quite nice actually. I posted the email string which was from one year ago, as I believe Leach has Tech completely over a barrell now on a wrongful firing suit. He will get $10 Million or more in my opinion. The James kid is a prima donna who quit the baseball team because of lack of playing time and wore his schtick thin with all of the rest of the team. In short he is a whiney little prick. And his daddy got Leach fired. Tech will look very dumb when this is all said and done.

Well OF COURSE the little sweethearts didn't like him. He made fun of their (fat little) girlfriends, and made them work their butts off. The nerve!

There is another video which I saw on TV that Adam James took with his cell phone of the electrical closet. He did a panoramic swing around the whole closet. There were numerous electrical switches close by and the room looked dark, small, and dirty. This seems to contradict the TV video which Floridapoke saw so someone may be doing a "Bait and Switch". Time will tell and the real truth will come out.
Somehow, I doubt TT would have fired Leach if Adam James' story didn't prove to be true in their investigation.
I found the link for the video Adam James took. There was an old chair in the room but that was about the only semi-comfort item. Link below -

So, he got fired for sending a kid who was creating problems to time-out? All day-care teachers and elementary school teachers need to be on notice that time-out is no longer an acceptable punishment...

Yeah, I tell all of the teachers at my kid's elementary school to give them a time out for any concussion that they incur on the playground.

I am pretty sure I heard he was put into isolation twice in two different rooms so that might explain the differences in the videos. Sounds like a cluster and I don't see how Tech comes out of this thing well...

He could have gone and taken those videos anytime, anyday, anywhere so they're irrelevant. Even if the kid has a concussion why would have have his cell phone on him during practice.

It wasn't because of the concussion; it was because of the fact that he showed up in sunglasses to practice and had a horrible work ethic...read the letters that were written by former Tech coaches and players about Adam James on cbssportsline; those help you get a little bit of an idea about the entitlement that he felt...
He was being punished for acting out during practice; it's that simple...

Sure, I'll tell my kid's teachers that it is OK to lock them in a supply closet for a time out after they've done anything wrong. Punishment is punishment, right?

If the statements by the trainer are correct, he was never locked in any supply closet. Someone is lying. Might be best to just wait for all the facts to come out because we know very little about the entire picture right now and people are jumping all over each other about stuff that may or may not be accurate.

Regardless of whatever the facts turn out to be, the way TTek admins & AD handled this is a lot like the way last year's contract negotiations went with Leach, they will end up with egg ALL OVER themselves, and headed toward Baylor/Colorado-like oblivion. Good job, Teksters.
