It doesn't record the whole game, just the time slot. Mine cut off when Eaton was in the air on the last shot. Grueling I tell ya, grueling.

Waited all night to get home and watch it too. My first DVRed game. Usually I'll get home around the second half for an 8 o'clock game, but decided to DVR it and watch it from the begining. I know better now. Always watch the game LIVE!

Mine cut off just after his shot fell, with 1.7 seconds to go. But I could guess the outcome pretty well!

Add half an hour to sports broadcasts. This is yet another area where tivo blows away the crappy cable DVR's. My tivo always notices that it's a sports event and asks if I want to add an hour to the time to get the whole game. I would think any DVR would let you manually do the same. Or you can just record the show right after the game.

My crappy, Stillwater cable, DVR asks if you want to extend everytime you record. I always add an hour to OSU sports, don't want the miss the end of triple overtime.

Add half an hour to sports broadcasts.

And if it is a football game against Tech be sure to add an hour!! I think ours will let us add up to 90min before and after the event.

My DVR will allow me to add up to 3 hours after the scheduled stop time. I DVR all the NASCAR Cup races just in case I might have to leave or something. I add the entire 3 hours to the end. LOL

I would definitely add time to the ending in your DVR for all future recording of stuff like this. Better safe than sorry. LOL

Actually I just always record a show or two after a sporting event. If you don't need it, just delete it.

And if you do need it, it invariably cuts off in the middle of a play, and you have to start the next program to see the end of the play.

Add some time to the end of the recording. The play back is seamless that way.
