#1 Missouri goes down tonight.

#2 West Virginia Goes down tonight.

Who plays for the BCS National championship?

Apparently the Ohio State Buckeyes will be in it. But who is going to be the other team.

LSU with 2= 3 overtime losses?

Georgia, they are ranked 4th now and are hot?

USC, the media darling and another team that is playing well?

I agree with what has been said by the talking heads on TV. The BCS system has failed miserably this year.

Depending on how the bowl games play out you may have another year of a split NC between the Associated Press and the BCS.

What a screwed up mess.

By the BCS rules it should be tOSU vs Georgia, end of story.

Ah but that is now. We will see after all the computers and polls get factored in. That may change.

If I had to guess I would say that LSU might jump Georgia and maybe even USC may jump them both. The media loves USC.

Sadly I think it will be tOSU and USC.

I think it'll be tOSU vs. either LSU, Va Tech, or OU...I just don't think USC's done anything worthy of being in the game...they have two wins versus teams with winning records, whereas everyone else in the question (except KU) has 5 or more....I just don't think it'll be USC...

My money's on tOSU vs. LSU....

The 2006 Boise State team that went 13-0 should play this year's Hawaii team. At least we would have two undefeated teams playing. :D

Georgia is goin to have trouble gettin to play in the NC game because they did't even get to play for the SEC title and Va Tech got blown out by forty by lsu. I bet the medias greatest team ever(what a joke) usc gets to play for it. Wouldn't suprise me if it was usc vs. lsu like they want it to be from the being of the year.

tosu is practically guaranteed. Georgia and Kansas, while 4 and 5, neither went to their conference championship game, and there's been a lot of backlash from that by pollsters from Nebraska and OU a few years back being in the BCS title game and not being Conf. Champs.

This very well could come down to a regional thing by the pollsters, where each person who submits a poll, is attempting to put a team from their region into the title game. I'd be really interested to see what a pollster from Southern Cal has as their top 25 compared to someone from Oklahoma, Louisiana, or Virginia.

The AP poll is not part of the BCS formula. The coaches poll is, and most coaches will show a little bias to their conference. It should even out overall, though.

tOSU vs. LSU.

tOSU only lost one game to a 9-3 team, while LSU had yesterday's emotional win amidst very public emoting over 'adversity'. Georgia didn't even make it to their conference championship game. Va Tech got blown out by LSU early in the season. ou dropped two games to unranked opponents.

This year I think the chances are very good that Les gets a MNC.

New coaches poll is out:

1. Ohio State (46)
2. LSU (11)
3. OU (2)
4. UGA
5. Virginia Tech
6. USC
7. Mizzou
8. Kansas
9. West Virginia
10. Hawaii (1)

Since that's a third of the system, I'd say it'll be LSU and tOSU....which sucks...

So, with just that poll, would that mean that OU play Georgia, since it's a BCS bowl, or does the poll have the determination of whom it invites. Because right now, I have to say that an OU/GA game would be really exciting. That would be a good test for both teams.

The only say that the poll has is points towards the final BCS...I don't think it'd be OU-UGA, since I think the Rose gets first pick, and they'll probably get UGA from the at-larges....the projection I saw had it as OU-WVU in the Fiesta....could definitely be an interesting match-up....

I don't care what the polls say. To quote ESPN, the BCS has most likely "imploded" at this point. Once again, an undefeated team in a non-power (i.e., big $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$) conference (Hawai'i) will be denied their chance to prove themselves in the MNC game.

That's because Hawai'i has the 119th ranked SOS...that's pretty bad...they don't deserve a shot at the title...

Totally agree.

Hawaii is not as good as their record claims.

The Warriors could have played LSU, USC, tOSU, and Va Tech for their non-conference schedule and even with a perfect record then they still wouldn't have got in for the MNC game. Why, because they aren't "in the right conference". That is a traveshamockery, IMHO. It's Boise State all over again.

Since you think an undefeated Hawai'i shouldn't be there, do you think any of the 2-loss teams (e.g, OU, UGA, etc.) deserve to be there? I don't, and if I see any 2-loss team in the MNC title game, I will be finding every possible method to push for a playoff system.

I'd say that an undefeated Hawai'i doesn't deserve to be there, but had they played the non-conference schedule that you just said and won all the games, they'd definitely be in and it wouldn't even be a question....but the fact that they play a bunch of nobodies out of conference killed them...their SOS was a joke and it would've been like an undefeated KU getting in (who I also don't think deserved it for one second)...

As to the two-loss teams, I'd rather see them in there than Hawai'i, because those teams actually played somebody noteworthy...of the teams that were vying for second, two played less than 5 teams with a winning record...OU faced Mizzou twice (who were 11 and 1 each time they played, as well as a top 20 Texas), LSU played ranked teams Va Tech, Tennessee, and I'm sure there are others, UGA also played a difficult schedule as well...I just don't think Hawai'i had any right to be in the championship considering they played the weakest schedule in D-1A....

Schedules and standings don't matter apparently, ask Mizzou.
