Ok I’ll paint the scenario: You are at a party (lets make it a Christmas party to go along with the season) and it is at the house of someone that has a huge liquor cabinet stocked with just about anything you could imagine. And by anything I mean various bourbons, whiskeys, scotch, gin, rum, tequila, vodka, etc. Plus, a huge assortment of wines from the US and abroad. On top of that add numerous beers both domestic and foreign.

Plus he/she has a bartender that can make anything you would like.

Now the question is: What would be your preferred drink for the evening?

Iced Tea otherwise if it's liquor it's hard to beat Crown and Coke.

I'm not a big drinker, so it'd be ice tea for me. But on the rare occasion that I do have 'a drink' it's crown and coke.

I know I'm boring.

I'd like to introduce you Crown and Coke fans (of which I am one) to a drink called "The Reciprical" It's Crown Royal Whiskey in Royal Crown Cola. Order one and when the bar tender has no idea what it is you can roll your eyes and explain it to him like he's the only one that has never heard of it.

Or..you could order a rum and coke which I refer to as "Captain and the Kid" which is also a Jimmy Buffet Song.

If this house was on the beaches of Hawaii then I'd go for a Lava Flow, otherwise it would be Kaluha and Dr. Pepper.

My friends and I have made that connection and have done that a few times. I didn't know it had a name though.

If it is a good friend, or if the company I work for is paying, I would go with Macallan 1939. I have never had it. But it is suppose to be good, and is very expensive. If not that, the probably Scotch. Though if I am in a sweet mood id go with an Old Fashioned. Though I am also a big wine fan. I would choose that on what else they had. I am a lot bigger fan of dry whites then anything else, but sometime a sweet or reds or rosé are the way to go.
And of course there is always, well hopefully always Dr. Pepper. I just love that drink.

Well if the bar is open I would have some crown royal special reserve on the rocks. Then some of the good stuff... Glenmorangie 25 year old scotch! Maybe throw in a little Cabo Wabo to boot.

Just dawned on me that I never put down my preferences.

For just drinking: Ston vodka and orange juice. ( I think it is better than Gray Goose)

For sipping: Either Bookers or Knob Creek single barrel bourbon on the rocks

For a wine: Any Cabernet Sauvignon by Raymond vinyards (Preferably the 1986 Reserve)

For after a dinner: Bailey's over shaved ice.

Beer I am not that particular about although I never turn down Red Stripe.

Or you could put your pinky finger back on the glass and just say, "Jack and Coke, please." No doubt in anyone's mind, and you will have shown yourself to be a gentleman, as a Jack drinker should be.
