Relevant is a casual, contemporary, Christian church meeting at the Italian Club in Ybor City, Florida. Our service is designed specifically for college students, urban professionals and young families.

At Relevant, we feel that it’s our responsibility to “clear the way” for you to come to church. We want you to be able to experience the great music, encouraging messages, friendly people and enjoyable atmosphere that are a part of Relevant.

I find it ironic that this church must declare itself "relevant."

That's for us to decide, right?

Everyone that has a message for you to believe think they are relevant.

I guess they think if they are up front with you with their thoughts on the value of what they are preaching, you will be more likely to make an effort to listen.

"We believe you can have a great sex life, in fact we believe God wants you to have a great sex life."

This is what is wrong with a lot of stuff in this world. First, you have a church promoting sex (granted it is with your own partner or spouse) but it is the wrong message. It just gives the non-believers one more reason not to take God seriously and laugh when someone is really trying to reach them.

Second, "we believe". You get away from what God really wants when you project "we believe" when it is not scripturally based. I doubt even in the most liberal renderings of the Bible will you find a passage where God states he wants you to have a great sex life.

Third, Christ talks about how we (believers) are not of this world. No, I'm talking alien stuff. I'm talking spiritual over carnal. Overall, sex is not the important issue in life. Reaching people with the gospel and people believing in Christ... that is.

I know I take things too literally and I understand this church is trying to change lives for the better but this is something probably their congregation should have made public just to their congregation. When you go public and worldwide, then it reflects on all of us Christians.

Which is exactly why this challenge is for all married couples to have sexual contact for 30 days in a row! I wish my wife and I were members of the so called "Relevent" church!
