Lots of good things so far today. Except for a short period in the mid-first half, the defense has been very crisp today, and that's very encouraging. Eaton is playing a solid game, and Anderson is being very aggressive. And all those threes help. :)

Has anyone else noticed how great Ibrahima Thomas is at drawing charges? He really has a knack for stepping in front of the drive. That's Sutton basketball! :)

lol OK guys, it's embarassing being the only poster on a game thread! It's feeling like everyone is laying out on me!!
Don't stop! I'm reading it! I'm afraid to turn on the TV because I seem to be a jinx.

96-71. Overall, looked good today. Lots of hustle, looks like they're trying to play D, turnovers not too bad, having some fun, etc. Shot really great. Eaton had a good game, as others did. The 10 day sabatical from Maui was obviously used well by our coaches.

The attendance was awful tonight especially by the students. This was one of the biggest non-conference games we've had in a few years, and the home crowd was severely lacking.

Verb... don't deprive yourself! I'm sure they'll do fine next time out if you watch. :)

Yes, this post is dead on, especially the last sentence. A very solid effort, with nice defense and great shooting. Some thoughts:
-PG went from a negative to a positive today, and it was both Eaton and Sidorakis. Nick was very strong in a backup role.
-Anderson is still figuring it all out, but man is he GOOD. Whoah.
-The 5 position continues to be a work in progress. Fran Fraschilla compared Anthony Brown to "the Warrior", Ivan McFarland, and while that's big-time hyperbole, he does play hard and the similarity to I-Mac is that he plays bigger than his listed height. Nice contributor. Thomas is going to be better by the end of the season than Kenny Cooper will ever be. Not sour grapes, just observing the raw talent, the smarts, and the intensity. He just needs some more bulk, and experience of course. And today, Adams seemed in a little over his head as a starter. Expect this position to rotate a lot depending on opponent match-ups.
-Unlike the LSU game, we came out and controlled the early part of the 2nd half, and never let UW even sniff getting back in the game.
-I really liked the fundamental defense... except for giving up a few too many offensive rebounds, this was a very solid defensive effort.
I'll stand by my preseason thought that by the end of the year this team will be a team nobody wants to play, and next year they'll be challenging the best in the Big 12.
