Scott still up end of period 2, 5-1.
Scott wins 7-2, goons are still up 12-6.

Newly Mcspadden is still out with an injury.
Tied still after the 1st, 0-0.
Crap, end of the 2nd, 3-0 goons.
Terry hangs on to win this one, 4-0. Goons are up 18-9. This doesn't look good folks. The Goons haven't beat us since 1995.

Next up Jake Dieffenbach (osu) vs. Dean. If Dean wins this one we can't come back.
After the 1st, Jake up 4-1.
After the 2nd, Jake up 7-2. We need some bonus points by Jake and then something special from Brandon Mason who's up next and is our last match.
Well crap, Jake wins 7-3, but we really needed some bonus points.
__________________________________________________ _________
Mason is up next, last match of the night. He'll need a fall just to tie. That'll be the only way to win.

End of the 1st, Mason trying hard to get a pin, but it's still 0-0.
End of 2nd, Mason up 3-0. If we don't get a pin in the final period the freakin goons win. COME ON Brandon!!!!
Brandon won his match 7-0, I believe.
Damn, final 18-15 final.
Your right Mark, it reminds me of the old saying, "son shines on a dogs a$$ if he's facing the right way." Looks like the goons were just facing the right way tonight.

From okstate.com:
NORMAN, Okla. – Third-ranked Oklahoma State saw its 19-match winning streak over Oklahoma come to an end Thursday in McCasland Fieldhouse, as the 17th-ranked Sooners picked up an 18-15 upset win over the Cowboys.
OU got off to a good start when sixth-ranked 184-pounder Joshua Weitzel pinned OSU’s Jack Jensen in 2:18 in the first match of the evening. No. 9 Joel Flaggert followed with a 9-6 win over Clayton Foster at 197 pounds to give the Sooners a 9-0 lead in the dual that they never surrendered. Jared Rosholt, Coleman Scott, Nathan Morgan, Jake Dieffenbach and Brandon Mason were all winners for the Cowboys by decision, but the pin combined with Joey Fio’s upset win over Tyler Shinn at 125 pounds were too much for OSU to overcome.
The Cowboys return to action when they host the 2008 Big 12 Championship at Gallagher-Iba Arena on March 8. Tickets are available through the OSU Ticket Office at 1-877-ALL-4-OSU or online at www.okstate.com

184 pounds: With the dual started at 184 pounds, Oklahoma’s sixth-ranked Joshua Weitzel pinned OSU’s Jack Jensen at the 2:18 mark to thrust the Sooners into a 6-0 lead on the team scoreboard. Weitzel notched a takedown at the 2:09 mark of the match, then rode Jensen out for over a minute before turning the Cowboy senior to his back and eventually recording the fall with 42 seconds remaining in the first period.
197 pounds: No. 9 Joel Flaggert extended OU’s lead in the dual to 9-0 when he picked up a 9-6 win over OSU freshman Clayton Foster. Trailing, 5-2 with just under a minute left in the second period, Foster had Flaggert by one leg, but Flaggert came up lame and asked the referee for time, which was granted before Foster could complete the takedown. Following a short injury break, Flaggert instantly recovered and stormed in for a takedown of his own, which he worked on before eventually getting the two points with one second left in the period. The third period started with Foster trailing, 7-2. He chose down to start the period and immediately scored a reversal to trim the deficit to 7-4. Foster cut Flaggert loose, then took him down a second time in the period with 22 seconds on the clock to bring the score to 8-6. Foster let Flaggert loose again at the 12 second mark, but ran out of time on his rally to take the defeat.
285 pounds: No. 8 Jared Rosholt picked up OSU’s first win of the night with an 8-3 decision over Nathan Fernandez. After a scoreless and largely stagnant first period, Rosholt chose the down position to start the second period and escaped five seconds in to take a 1-0 lead. He scored a takedown 18 seconds later to increase his lead to 3-0. A Fernandez escape capped the second period scoring. In the third period, Fernandez escaped quickly to bring the score to 3-2, but Rosholt scored a takedown at the 1:05 mark and added final takedown in the waning seconds to take a 7-3 lead. When Rosholt’s 1:20 of riding time was factored in, he claimed an 8-3 win.
125 pounds: No. 17 Joey Fio of Oklahoma scored a 3-2 win over 14th-ranked Cowboy Tyler Shinn. Fio opened the scoring with a takedown at the 1:37 mark, which was followed by a Shinn escape 25 seconds later. Shinn chose down to start the second period and escaped quickly to deadlock the score at 2-2. With Fio starting the third period in the down position, he escaped to take a 3-2 lead with 1:50 remaining. Shinn nearly turned Fio to his back for a pin with 10 seconds left in the match, but Fio wiggled out quick enough to not only avoid giving up back points, but also to avoid Shinn being credited with a takedown before time expired.
133 pounds: Top-ranked Cowboy Coleman Scott was a 7-2 winner over Brian Shelton. Scott got on the board with a takedown just 13 seconds into the bout. He let Shelton loose 10 seconds later before taking him down again at the 1:22 mark and riding him out for the rest of the period. Scott chose down to open the second period and escaped with 1:58 remaining on the clock for the only scoring of the second stanza. Shelton opened the third period in the down position and was slapped with a penalty point for stalling with 1:11 remaining. Scott cut him loose shortly thereafter to bring the score to 6-2, but when Scott’s 2:29 riding time was added, he won a 7-2 decision.
141 pounds: Second-ranked Nathan Morgan of Oklahoma State won a 5-4 decision over 16th-ranked Zack Bailey of OU. Morgan scored first when he bagged a takedown with 1:05 on the clock in the first period. Bailey answered with a two-point reversal of his own with 13 seconds left in the first period. With Morgan on top to start the second, Bailey escaped at the 1:58 mark to take a 3-2 lead. Morgan was hit with a penalty point for grabbing Bailey’s headgear with 52 seconds on the clock to fall behind, 4-2. He erased the deficit quickly by taking Bailey down with 18 ticks remaining to send the match into the third period tied at 4-4. Starting in the down position, Morgan escaped eight seconds into the period to take a 5-4 lead. Referee Pat Fitzgerald credited Morgan with a takedown with five seconds left, but made the decision to take it away moments later to send Morgan away a 5-4 winner.
149 pounds: Ryan Freeman suffered a 7-2 loss at the hands of No. 17 Will Rowe. After a scoreless first period that was spent largely on the edge of the mat, Freeman started the second period in the down position and reversed Rowe with 1:46 on the clock. Rowe escaped seven seconds later to bring the score to 2-1. Rowe then scored a takedown at the 29 second mark to go into the third period with a 3-2 advantage. With Freeman on top to start the second, Rowe escaped at the 1:39 mark to bring his advantage to 4-2. Rowe then took Freeman down and rode him out for the remainder of the period to claim a 7-2 win with riding time.
157 pounds: Neil Erisman lost a 4-0 decision to No. 17 Chad Terry. After a scoreless first period, Terry chose the down position to start the second and escaped at the 1:42 mark to open the scoring. He then caught Erisman in an ill-fated shot that resulted in a Terry takedown with 27 seconds on the clock. Terry rode Erisman out for the rest of the period and rode him the entire third period to seal his 4-0 win with riding time.
165 pounds: Fifth-ranked Cowboy Jake Dieffenbach claimed a 7-3 win over Max Dean. Dieffenbach used a pair of takedowns to roar out to a 4-1 lead at the end of the first period. He extended his lead to 5-1 with a quick escape to start the second period, then took Dean down again to go up 7-1 with 34 seconds left in the second. An escape by Dean brought the score to 7-2 through two periods. Starting the third period on top, Dieffenbach instantly let Dean loose, but was unable to generate any further scoring to pick up bonus points.
174 pounds: Knowing he needed a pin in the final match to salvage a tie in the dual for his team, No. 8 Brandon Mason of OSU was a 7-0 winner over Chris Devilbiss. The key stretch of the match came when Mason took Devilbiss down with 1:18 remaining, but was unable to turn him to his back for the necessary pin.
