Luper and Meacham receive $80,000 salary increases.
Oklahoma State football assistants Curtis Luper and Doug Meacham were given pay increases of $80,000, while Gunter Brewer has gotten a raise of $50,000 and Joe Wickline $40,000.
Luper (assistant head coach and running backs coach) and Meacham (passing-game coordinator and tight ends coach) each made $148,000 last year. In 2008, they each will be paid $228,000.
Also at the $228,000 mark is Brewer, who last year made $178,000. He was OSU's wide receivers coach for three years. Brewer now is the co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
By moving from Knoxville, Tenn., to Stillwater, new OSU co-offensive coordinator Trooper Taylor got a raise of $53,000. As the wide receivers coach at Tennessee last season, he made $175,000. The 37-year-old Taylor will make $228,000.
Taylor was added to the OSU offensive staff after offensive coordinator Larry Fedora left to become the new head coach at Southern Miss. In his final year at OSU, Fedora made $393,000.
The pay of Cowboy special-teams coordinator Joe DeForest ($319,000) and defensive coordinator Tim Beckman ($303,000) has not changed since last year.
OSU's 2008 football compensation figures were obtained from the university.
Last week, the school announced that head coach Mike Gundy's pay has been bumped to $1,053,000, up from last year's figure of $953,000. Each of his last two Cowboy teams followed a 6-6 regular season with a bowl victory. The 2008 season will be Gundy's fourth as the head coach at his alma mater.
A six-year contract signed by Gundy in December specifies that he is to receive a $100,000 raise each year. During the 2013 season -- the final season of his current six- year contract -- he is scheduled to make $1.55 million.
Since Gundy became the head coach in 2005, every staff member had been given a contract of at least three years. However, each of OSU's three new assistants -- Taylor, Jason Jones (cornerbacks) and Glenn Spencer (defensive line) -- has a two-year contract.
Jones, who coached at the University of Tulsa last season, makes $153,000 at Oklahoma State. Spencer, who had been on the Duke staff, is paid $188,000 at OSU.
Wickline will make $253,000 this year. While continuing to coach the offensive line, he has a new title -- running-game coordinator. He is under contract through 2012.
Last season, Wickline's linemen performed at a high level, paving the way for a ground game that led the Big 12 and ranked eighth nationally with 243.2 yards per game. In 13 games, the Cowboy line gave up only 11 sacks, the Big 12's lowest total.
