5 - Kansas……. 24-2
6 - Texas……… 21-4
30 - Kansas St….. 18-6
32 - Oklahoma.. 17-8
38 - Texas A&M.. 20-5
42 - Baylor…….. 17-7
69 - Texas Tech .. 13-11
75 - Missouri….. 14-12
97 - Okla St…… 13-12
125 - Iowa State…. 14-12
142 - Colorado…. 10-14
145 - Nebraska….. 14-9
* Above rankings per www.collegerpi.com
* Teams in Bold are currently projected by that site as NCAA Tourney teams.
* Great back-to-back wins by the Pokes this week. With those wins, the Cowboy RPI has jumped from dead last in the Conference at one point to #97. Pokes could still finish 3-2 over the last five with wins against Nebraska, Oklahoma, and @Missouri. Wins vs Kansas and @Texas look like a stretch.
* With that kind of finish, OSU could work their way up in the Big-12 Tourney seeding to maybe 9th. That would make for an opening round game that looks to be entirely winnable. I could see the Big-12 seeding out as follows:
#8 Mizzou vs #9 Okla State winner vs #1 Kansas.
#7 Texas Tech vs #10 Iowa State winner vs #2 Texas.
#6 Baylor vs #11 Nebraska winner vs #3 Kansas State.
#5 Oklahoma vs #12 Colorado winner vs #4 Texas A&M.
* So if the Pokes finish 3-2 with a 1-1 performance in the Big-12 Tourney, then we could finish with an overall record of 17-15, an RPI in the 80's which would be good enough to put us squarely in the NIT Bubble Watch.
