I made these this weekend, and everyone seemed to like them.
5 lbs Ground Hamburger (90% lean)
1 Large White Onion (minced)
1 Large Pablano Pepper (minced)
2 packets Taco Seasoning
1/4 cup Worchestershire Sauce
3 Eggs
1 cup+/- crushed tortilla chips (I blend them till they are like cornmeal)
Mix all the ingredients making sure it is mixed thoroughly.
I added the chips last, to get the mixture to a good consistency to make patties.
I also made the patties Friday Night, and froze them, seperated by wax paper. Made it easy to throw them on the grill Saturday.
I topped half of the burgers with Pepper Jack Cheese, the other half with Chipotle Cheddar Cheese.
Optional condiments: Salsa, Guacamole, Sour Cream
This recipe made 20 - 1/4lb burgers.
Adjust the recipe to suit your needs.
