Try this at your next tailgate or bbq event

what you will need is:
1/2 pound of bacon
1 pkg sausage (for those health nuts use ground turkey)
1 can green chilies
shredded cheese (I used cheddar)
BBQ Rub of yoru choice

First make a basket weave with the bacon. Use waxed paper under bacon.

Put sausage in a zip lock bag and flatten it out with a rolling pin if you have one. Spray the inside of the bag with Pam to keep the sausage from sticking to the bag.

Cut sausage out of bag and place on top of the bacon weave. Add rub, green chilies and cheese.

Roll and secure with toothpicks. Make sure to seal the ends so all the stuffing does not come out.

Smoke at 300 - 350 for 2-3 hours or until internal temp reaches 170 degrees.

Take out and let rest 20 min. Then slice and enjoy.

You can put just about anything you want inside.
Pre cooked of course: scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, and green chilies.

I did one with pizza sauce, pepperoni, and mozz cheese and my wife loved it.

Enjoy.

Your recipe forgot to mention that you should go ahead and schedule the angioplasty while you're thinking about it.

Ok, ok, So switch bacon to turkey bacon. Use ground turkey instead of sausage, and during the 2-3 hours of cook time run 12-15 miles so you will have burned off enough calories to come back and enjoy. :D:D
