Stigler native, Ex-Fresno State women's basketball coach accepts reduced $6.6M discrimination award
By The Associated Press
FRESNO, Calif. — A former basketball coach at Fresno State says she'll accept a $6.6 million judgment in a high-profile gender discrimination case she filed against the school.
A jury originally awarded Stacy Johnson-Klein a $19.1 million award, but a judge on Friday ordered a new trial unless she accepted the smaller amount.
Johnson-Klein said Wednesday ending her legal ordeal is the best move she can make for her family. She also plans to write a book about her experience.
The coach sued California State University at Fresno three years ago, saying university officials sexually harassed her and retaliated against her because she spoke up for female players.
The university said Johnson-Klein was fired because she violated NCAA rules.
Johnson-Klein is from Stigler, and played at Northeastern State in Tahlequah. She later spent time as an assistant coach at Oklahoma and as head coach at Cameron in Lawton.

From the looks of the roots of her hair she may be closer to being a brunette than she to being a blonde. I would hold off judgement on that Pokit N, it might require more indepth investigation.
Of course if someone can arrange it I would be happy to do the investigative work :)

With $6.6 million, she can afford to match the drapes to the carpet

You know at the time we hired Budke, I was kinda thinking Stacey Johnson was the right hire.
In retrospect, I'm pretty pleased with how things turned out. Good job with the Budke hire!

a buddy of mine has followed women's bball for a long time as a Stephen F Austin grad and his wife was on the board of regents and they have had some good women's team. He has gone to several women's final fours.
Anyway he knew of Budke from La Tech and said then he was a good hire
