My day started at 4am when I woke to the sound of barking dogs. One of the barks didn't quite sound like my dogs so I thought there was a stray, so I opened the window to yell at them. My yellow dog obvioulsy had something cornered where the fence meets the house, thinking it was one of the cats I yelled at him to go inside. As I am closign the window I get a wiff of SKUNK! My stupid dogs cornered a skunk in the back yard - all three of the reeked! :furious3: I had to lock them in the dog room so the skunk could escape. But after feeding them when I got up for the day I locked them out of the house for the day.
Then as I was walking down the stairs after my shower, I missed a step and rolled my ankle. Even after icing it for 20 minutes I have a giant knot on the side of my foot and it hurts like a mofo! I couldn't hit the brakes with my foot, so I had to break with my left foot. Thinking this one is bad enough that I probably need to go to the doctor to make sure I didn't break anything.

That stinks!
I trashed my ankle last year. I rolled it real bad on some uneven concrete.
After xrays I had no break, but it has never been the same. It pops when I walk. Im thinking I have some tendon or ligament damage.
So, get that thing fully checked out to make sure nothing too severe has been done.
Dont end up like me......
Im going to have to go have it checked out again soon, and I fear Im going to need surgery.
I hope the rest of the day gets better for you!

Ha! Critters!
We've got a live trap in our backyard right now. Day 1 we caught a racoon. Day 2 we got a fox. This is Day 3 and we've got another racoon.
And we woke up to around 2 inches of snow on the ground!
I've made a special note to myself to send the wife out to get all critters out of the trap in the future so as to avoid ankle injuries to myself!

Sorry to hear about that barryrules. Sounds to me like you need to to call in sick and head to Joe's.

Sorry about the ankle. Hopefully, it isn't serious.
We have a Scottish terrior that fancies herself as a hunting dog since Scotties were bred to hunt badgers. She has been skunked several times. THe first couple of times, she was was directly hit and wreaked unbelievably. That is a major PITA. After that she has learned to stay away from their butt so she just gets a little stinch. We still have to bathe her. There is nothing that totally gets rid of the odor and there is a real chance the skunk will come back. The only way to stop it is to kill the skunk.
I use 1 TBSP of Dial dish soap
1 quart of hydrogen peroxide
1 box of baking soda.
Bathe the dog in the above concoction and let it dry on them. Then re-bathe them. I sometimes do it 2-3 days in a row before it gets to a tolerable level if they got doused really good.

I would not leave the house if I were you. With that kind of luck you are going to get in a big accident or something.

Thankfully my ankle is not broken - just badly sprained. Still hurts like like heck though. I'm trying to get the furniture installation at Murray finished up, so all the departments can get moved in - not sure how I'm going to do a walk-thru punch list on the furniture with my ankle like this - maybe I can get someone to push me around the building in a chair! :D
Good news is my dogs seemed to be mostly aired out, but the dog room smells like the skunk is still in there. I took pity on them since it was starting to rain and let them back in the dog room, but not the house.
The best news of the day is my ankle got me out of having to do the grocery shopping on the way home today as hubby said he'd do it!

You can tell everyone that you are testing if it is up to code for ADA.
