Man they can't catch a break. I hope they can both heal up for next year.

Bad news for the bears. Hate to hear that.

And they have lost their second string QB for at least for awhile. This news is not good at all.

That sucks for them. I really think it good for the Big 12 for teams like Baylor and Iowa State to get better and offer a little competition. Hopefully, it won't completely crater Baylor's season.

The question will always be: "Should a Barry play ahead of a Thurman."

Oh no! I really like watching Griffin play. He's a true lightning in a bottle type of player. I hope they both heal quickly.

That's a real shame. Their hearts must be broken, and the team's heart, too.

Funny you ask. I remember Thurman's last year Barry actually averaged more yards per carry than Thurman. I attributed it to the defense being tired when Barry got in the game. Was I ever wrong!:(

You can't go wrong playing a Barry or a Thurman!

I was watching some of the BU game, and heard that he went out, but they didn't have any information on the severity of the injury at that time.

I would say this injury will certainly end his dream of any further Olympic track competition, but I believe he probably ended that dream at the 2008 Olympic trials when he placed 5th in his second heat running a 49.38 in the 400 meter hurdles.

If he thought he was going to be Olympic caliber in three years, he probably should have passed on a football career. Football is just too much risk for one's wheels.

That's Robert in the white.

This is Robert praying to the heavens that football would not make him a one sport athlete or end all his athletic dreams.

Like Verb said, it's a real shame when any athlete goes down for a long time with a knee, ankle, shoulder, head or neck injury.
