So from this article it seems now the only thing between OKC and a franchise is your money. Would you pay an extra sales tax to help fund the Sonics? I think I would. Creates jobs, good for businesses down in bricktown, drive the economy.

I wouldn't mind having Beasley, Durant, and Collison in OKC. Grab Chris Paul and we're rollin'! Point is, I'm a hop and a skip away from the Ford Center and it was nice havin a pro team for 2 years. Bring the NBA to OKC, it will be great for the whole state.

I don't live there, so it doesn't impact me... but my answer would be no.

If you're going to tax people, then do it for a reason that benefits ALL people not a handful of sports fans.

The number of jobs created is minimal and not worth including in a discussion of increased taxes.

If it were part of a downtown revitalization, then maybe... but by itself, for only a lowgrowth sports franchise... naw, never.

the money would be better spent trying to bring in a real business that could actually grow, and actually created some real jobs, not ushers and burger flilpper jobs.

A very bad idea.... most cities these days are saying no...

The simply do not need government hadouts to move their fanchise.

+1 Agree with Cali

LA does just fine without the NFL!

If the Sonics move, they should be a self sustaining organization, not subsidized millionaires, with a subsidized billionaire owners.

Just say no OKC, show some backbone!

Wow, no NBA in OKC. Somehow I think it will pass and you two jokers by no means represent the city's feeling as a whole. Were you guys around for the Hornets stay? I think a franchise here would be awesome.

yes. I will vote to continue the 1 cent sales tax, but I also believe they will end up having to build a new one anyways, but we shall see.

I agree cactus. The new arena will probably be down the road a bit, but updating the Ford Center would bode well for OKC. The NCAA will hold regionals here for the NCAA tourney and it will drive the economy.
