My great uncle use to sell them. Mom and dad have had a set for probably 30 to 35 years at least. They still look brand new if you shine them up. I've had a partial set that we have bought used here and there for about 10 years. Depends on how you cook or what you cook. If you can afford them, buy them.

So, you're all about them then?

Unless you are making a fried or scamble egg that tends to stick. Mom will swear by them for making pork chop gravey! They are very good for cooking veggies.

Are you buying them from carnie's at the fair? Do it!

On that note I went by the Shamwow booth at the fair but Vince wasn't there...

Can you get that stuff at the fair?
Think it would be cheaper? The stuff is high, but I can't find a single person that owns it or anyone that has reviewed it online anywhere to say a single bad thing about the stuff.
The only thing I can find is that it's expensive.
Might be the old, "I paid a small fortune for this $hit, I'll be damned if I'm gonna bad mouth it" syndrome.

Is this like Amway?
Hell if I know.
Nobody has asked me to sell anything.
I think its just really expensive pots & pans, which I have already spent a fortune on for all manner of different brands, and have no room for more anyway, so I guess I should buy some. :o

If you start drawing circles, I'm gonna dump my cheese dip and salsa on your carpet and leave.

I bought the entire Rachel Ray cookware set (notice the orange handles) and I absolutely love it. Best cookware set I've ever owned.

That looks a lot like Calphalon (sp). I've got a whole set of that, and a whole set of Magna-Lite, a whole set of Oneida (sp) and several pieces of All-Clad, but I don't own any West Bend Lifetime. But, I think I'm gonna.

You will never buy another set of pans because they will last a life time. They clean up real easy especially if you pour water in it while it's still hot, you can just about wipe them out. If something is stuck soak it and it will clean up easy. The best thing to cook is veggie's with them especially carrots. As far as buying at the fair absolutely. There is a booth right next to ours in the Centinial building. Don't settle for a knock off if you are going to spend that kind of money. (around $2500 to $3000 for a set)

Sh*t, if you have all that stuff, WhyTF do you need any more? It's not like you're auditioning/or ever will be on the freakin' Food Channel. Grow a set, and tell her "enough is enough".:officechair:

We had the Chalphalon and liked it but the coating started coming off a few of the pans. We mentioned it to a Williams-Sonoma sales person. It was only mentioned is passing and not really as a complaint. He said, if we are unhappy with it, bring it back and they will give a full credit. We did and traded it for All-clad (stainess steel inner and outer layer with an aluminum center to heat evenly). Aluminum is a great conducter of heat and the whole pan will heat evenlly. All-clad is really good cook ware but its best to get a coated omlet pan if you are cooking many eggs.
Williams-Sonoma is a top end cook store and fairly expensive but they will take anything back and don't even ask for a receipt. If it's something they sell, they will take it back, no questions asked. We have one of those thin spiral screw wine openers where you just keep screwing and the cork comes out (no levers). The sprial eventually stretches on those especially if you get some tough corks (usually associated with cheap wine). We have taken it back three times and they have replaced it with a new one each time. I even know a couple that inherited a set of Chalphalon from their parents and didn't like it. They took the whole set back to Williams-Sanoma and replaced it with All-Clad, no questions asked. I do not know of one other retailer that is this liberal as far as takeing things back. I understand they make the supplier take it back.

I own a set of All Clad....the good version, not the watered down version at Dillards or someplace. It was very expensive, but its great 18/10 stainless that will last forever. You just gotta get used to cooking with stainless.
Of course, I have a non stick skillet for omelets and such.....

You can scald the dog with good 18/10 before you realize it. Great stuff, but a learning curve.
