Neb is tougher than I thought, with their best win is atm @ home. They have lost @ BU, @ uo, KState. They are a pretty good home team and a poor road team. This will be a very tough game for the girls to win. They also have a very easy sched remaining, with only home vs OSU and @ KSU left as teams with more than 3 conf wins. If they beat us Sunday they will most likley only lose @ KState left and possibly @ ttek. Predict those 2 losses - 11-5.

BU is good. They have a tought sched upcoming, but uo is at home (and they already beat them there) and OSU is at home. They go to atm and UT. They will lose only one of those, most likely atm who is playing well as of late. Predict 14-2.

KState is pretty decent as well. After a killer non-conf, they are playing very well in conf. They have a very VERY easy upcoming sched, with all north teams except uo at home and Neb is also at home, plus they are a good road team. I don't think they will lose again, but lets say they lose @ KU in a rivalry. Predict 14-2.

We have a tuff sched upcoming. @ Neb, @ uo and @ BU will all most likelt be losses. atm come in playing well and looking for revenge. Predict 11-5.

uo has a sched that is not quite as tuff as ours, but still not a walk in the park. @ BU, @ KSU are losses, plus atm twice and ttek there (good home team). Bedlam II is there. Predict 12-4.

atm has been playing well, but they are @ OSU, UT twice, uo twice, and BU at home. I say they beat BU and UT at home and lose others. 8-8.

UT splits atm, loses to BU, @ OSU, @ uo. 7-9. Rest are out of the equation.

FINAL PREDICTION
BU 14-2 (spanked KSU)
KSU 14-2
uo 12-4
Neb 11-5 (beat OSU)
OSU 11-5
atm 8-8
UT 7-9

If OSU wants to be a Top 4 seed, they must beat Neb or be forced to win @ uo or BU, which I don't see happening, and not slip up elsewhere. This would tie us with uo at 12-4. If we do tie them we get the 3 seed as division record and head-to-head are same, however we beat BU, the highest ranked division team. Being seeded above uo would be huge for possible NCAA implications.

Good stuff...

I noticed that CollegeRPI.com is currently projecting NINE womens teams from the Big-12 will make the NCAA Tourney. Like, wow! A full 75% of the league in post season. No doubt the Big-12 is the toughest womens league in the Country.

Kansas State 9-1 17-6
Baylor 9-2 21-3
Oklahoma State 8-2 20-3
Oklahoma 8-2 18-4
Nebraska 6-4 17-7
Texas A&M 5-5 17-7
Texas 4-6 16-8
Iowa State 4-6 15-8
Kansas 3-7 14-9
Texas Tech 2-8 14-10
Colorado 2-9 13-11
Missouri 1-9 8-15

Whomever comes out atop of the B12 will have a great chance at an overall #1 seed. I know the rankings don't support that, but to come out of what is known to be the best conf with only 1 or 2 or 3 losses when there are 9 tourney teams is as good a resume out there. I also think the top 4 seeds in the B12 could get corresponding seeds in the NCAA, or at the very least the B12 3/4 gettting a 4/5 seed. Top 2 B12 will be a NCAA 1/2. Unfortunately, I think uo has a better shot of the #3 seed because they have been ranked all year and we haven't and our SOS is not near theirs.

If the girls hold serve with home/away games they almost assuredly have a top 4 seed sewn up. Additionally, with the streak they are on and their record AND a probable win over ISU at home on Sunday, a NCAA Top 4 seed is very possible. The higher finish in the conf the better the chance. KSU is 1st in conf but has yet to move into the Top 16 in the rankings. The sched looks good for us with a WWLWWL with us winning at home and losing @ BU and uo. Furthermore, the tourney committee loves to look at the last 10; our last 10 we will be 8-2, only losing at 2 Top 10 teams. Add that to the fact that our only home loss is to the reg season 1-loss champion of a league that will get 8 or 9 teams in... not too shabby. PREDICT 12-4

KSU keeps on winning. Again, I don't see them losing with the possible exception of the rivalry KU game (tho KU is terrible). I've changed my mind and will say they don't lose again. PREDICT 15-1

BU lost at UT. I said they would lose either @ UT or atm but chose atm. I don't see a scenario that would get us a better seed than BU, but they could still lose @ atm who is a good home team. PREDICT: 13-3

uo has been playing REALLY good lately. Bad for them, next 2 games are @ BU @ KSU. If they split those games, especially if the one win is @ KSU, they could be in the driver's seat for a #1 seed (and the tourney has historically LOVED Sherri). This also means that We will be fighting with them and BU for a spot in OKC, which doesn't look good. The flip side is, if they do lose at BU and KSU, then we are tied record-wise and we get the nod because we beat the higher ranked team (BU) and they were swept by them. A side note to this is that after what I think will be losses @ BU and @ KSU, we are their next game @ snorman, and that could be ugly for us. PREDICT - 12-4

Neb might not lose to ttek now, just lose @ KSU, but that will but them in a 3-way tie for 3rd which they will be the 1st one out of - OSU and uo both beat them. PREDICT - 12-4

FINAL STANDINGS PREDICT
KSU - NCAA #1
BU - NCAA #2
OSU - NCAA #4
uo - NCAA #4
Neb - NCAA #6
atm - NCAA #6

This is the first thing that is stated in the post:

for the girls of course.

It's pretty obvious what it's about from the get-go...

Good stuff, Capt...I'm really hoping that OU is able to pull out the wins in Waco and Manhattan, but those are definitely going to be tough tasks...the guards are going to have to continue to step up as they have in the recent games...definitely a tough finish to the season for both schools...
