I watched all five new epsiodes this week. Nothing really just hilarious in any of the shows. Thought I'd give him a chance but the material is just not that good. Even some of the guests weren't that funny including Robin Williams.

I agree, the show is not much different than the Tonight Show is, except in a different order. I thought it was going to be a lot different. I found Robin Williams to be funny though, he has sooo much energy that it amazes me.

I haven't seen every episode, but the few bits I caught were ok. True, nothing that great, but it does offer something different in that now you have a 9pm show, that you don't have to watch daily,or even weekly, just when you do catch it. Also comedy being brought back, for those of you who get tired of the nightly police shows/movies,etc... Again,it's different,so we'll see what happens.

I bet it is canceled in 6 months. Its just not a very good show for prime time. Its ratings during the first week also made some historic day to day drop offs.

Why did he leave the tonight show just to do a show that is damn near the same thing?

Because NBC promised Conan the tonight show gig several years ago and had to keep their word to keep from losing him and then came up with this dumb idea so they wouldn't lose Leno to ABC or Fox.

I've got to the point where I don't watch any of these late night talk hosts anymore, especially Leno and his meanness humor.

I'll watch if they have someone on I want to see.

The funniest bit was probably Leno's edited interview with Obama where Leno got to say "That's a lie!" about remarks Obama appeared to make about his show. Headlines were pretty good.
