For the last two days when I've opened this board it takes me to a bullentin message page to log in instead of to the home page to sign it. Why is that? It says that I may not have permission to access the board or something like that.

Good morning! Are you seeing a screen like this?

If you're on your home PC, check the Remember Me box, and that should bypass the screen when fire up the site. I wouldn't check that box if you're using a public computer or checking from a friend's PC, as it saves your login information from the site. Please let us know if you continue to see that screen after checking the box.

Yes, I do check the box. Then after I have signed out and try to get back on later, I always get the box you have in your post. This just started yesterday. After you told me about that remember me box a while back when I would try to post, I always checked it so it would automatically time me out. This is something new, I guess.
edit: when I click on my link in my favorites for this board, I automatically get the bullentin message screen.

I'll do a little digging and see if we can figure out why it's not working for you. Thanks for pointing it out.

It sounds like a local setting on your PC.
Your username & password is set as a cookie.
Check you PC settings to see if you have it set to accept cookies or not.
If your PC is set to not accept cookies you will have to log on every time.
If your PC is set to accept them, but someone deletes them, you will have to log back on every time that cookie is deleted.

I noticed that the other day when I tried to access the site with my BlackBerry. I always have trouble signing in with my password but could lurk. On Wednesday when I opened the site, it said that I didn't have access and could not with out signing in.

I bet Ben is right. When you leave the site, do you hit "logout" or just close the browser? If you hit logout, that wipes out your cookies and will force you to have to login the next time. If you just close the browser or turn off the machine, it should let you back in without having to login the next time you try.

What's with the logging on every time you go off line?:(
Server problem or are you trying to get a traffic count for commercial purposes?

Good morning, Mr. Junkie sir. Be sure to click the "Remember Me" box when you login. That should make it so you don't have to login every time. If you hit logout when you leave, that will wipe the cookie out and you'll have to put in your id/password the next time.

Dortha, I just realized that you said you sign out.....
Andy is correct, if you hit Log Out, it does wipe out the cookie.
Just close the browser and the next time you open the site you will be "remembered".

I never have this issue unless I actually "log out" when I leave. I just close the window.
I also have to log back in when I clear my cache and cookies, and I do that occasionally.
It isn't happening for me. I believe it is a local setting on the machines experiencing the problems for those that aren't logging out.
If you "log out", you have to log back in.
Hope you get it fixed junkie.

I moved Junkies thread to Customer Service and merged it with the existing thread that Dortha started, since it covers the same information.
If the information on this thread doesnt answer your question let us know and we will try to figure it out for you.

Okay, thanks, Ben and Andy. I do log out and get a window that says all cookies have been cleared. I'll just close the browser from now on.

Yeah, that worked!!! Thanks, everyone. I was really getting frustrated, which I really don't need right now.
