Anyone remember when the Democrats barely let GWB through one of his State of the Union adresses because they were openly booing him? Wison was a disrespectful jackass for calling the President on something during a speech, but it's hardly a groundbreaking move. Disrespect is apparently also a one way street with the Dem's.

WASHINGTON – The House has voted to admonish Rep. Joe Wilson over his "You lie" outburst to President Barack Obama during the president's health care speech to Congress last week.

The 240-179 vote on the resolution of disapproval reflected the sharp partisan divide over the issue. Democrats insisted that the South Carolina Republican take responsibility for what they said was a serious breach of decorum. Republicans characterized the vote as a political stunt.

Wilson himself would not back down on his position that he owed the House no apology. Surrounded by Republican supporters, Wilson said Obama had "graciously accepted my apology and the issue is over."

Is there any way I can send every member of congress a bill for my time that they wasted doing this?

For that bunch of dumbasses (plural: dumbassi?)to feign indignation is laughable in itself. I sent the guy a donation because every liberal in America was sending money to his Democratic opponent next year and I figured a guy shouldn't be punished for speaking the truth. I just wanted to keep the playing field level. He isn't necessarily somebody I would vote for, all things equal. I just don't like anybody piling on.

Man I'm sick of this. Anyone who disagrees with Obama must be labeled a racist. It's the Dem's "Go-to" way of dealing with any opposition to anything. Don't like the stimulus? "Well it's because Obama looks black!" Don't like the healthcare reforms being shoved down your throat? "There are a lot of people who don't want a black President." Now freakin Jimmy Carter's on that banal bandwagon. I pulled this from another article.
__________________________________________________ ______________________
Responding to an audience question at a town hall at his presidential center in Atlanta, Carter said Tuesday that Wilson's outburst was also rooted in fears of a black president.

"I think it's based on racism," Carter said. "There is an inherent feeling among many in this country that an African-American should not be president."

Would it have been racist if Obama was white and Wilson was black? Yeah, I didn't think so.

Wilson might have gotten admonished for interrupting the president but the subject of racism never would have come up.

Whether it be the truth or not, there is a time a place for everything, and that was just a good way to go about it. It is diesrespecful when anyone interrupts people. Interrupting a speech, in congress... that is just not respectful, any way you look at it.

True... we could talk about other lies from other POTUS in the past, but that wont do any good. Section 246 in the bill that had been presented said

"SEC. 246. NO FEDERAL PAYMENT FOR UNDOCUMENTED ALIENS.
Nothing in this subtitle shall allow Federal payments for affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are not lawfully present in the United States."

So, when Wilson cried out with the "You Lie" it was just showing that he must not have read the bill. Thats ok, as most politicians don't read everything anyway.
Now of course you could argue, "well I think it will", or "that section doesnt matter" or "that is all B.S" or "That is not what that section means" or... well I guess you could come up with a ton of different excuses, but in the bill it said they wouldnt get it. You can believe what ever you want, but as it was put out, they would not be covered. I guess you can read any law , like that it is unlawful to go over the posted speed limit, and say that it is a lie. But that doesnt mean it isnt true.

As it says in the above article, it was a lie because there was no enforcement put in the bill. Everytime he had tried to get enforcement added they would vote it out. That tells me the intent was to not enforce it. The intent was to deceive us into believing it was one way when it was, in fact, another. Deception is lieing in mind mind. Now that he has been cought he is just going to legalize them all which will get them covered.
BTW, welcome back. I'm sorry to hear about your bad luck but hopefully things are looking up.

When is the rest of Congress (both parties) going to be admonished for failure to balance the budget?
