Back from the weekend and ready to go for more football this weekend -- if I could just get this pesky cold to leave me alone.
These links are chicken soup for the soul of Big 12 fans. And hopefully to me, too.
-The state of Oklahoma has been overrun by Cougars after the first two weeks of the season, Berry Tramel of the Oklahoman writes.
-The Austin American-Statesman’s Kirk Bohls advises Colt McCoy to relax and have fun while playing.
-After Houston’s victory over Oklahoma State on Saturday, the College Football News’ Pete Fiutak wonders how the Cougars can be ranked behind the Cowboys in the national polls.
-Brett McMurphy of Fanhouse.com writes that the Big 12 and Big East are in serious negotiations about providing the teams for a proposed bowl at Yankee Stadium starting after the 2010 season.
-Despite an impressive rebound victory over Idaho State, the Norman Transcript’s John Shinn writes that Oklahoma still has much to prove.
-The Lawrence Journal-World's Tom Keegan writes about the impressive growth of several youthful Kansas players.
-The Omaha World-Herald’s Jon Nyatawa writes that Saturday’s game at Virginia Tech will be a measuring stick for Nebraska.
-The Cedar Rapids Gazette’s Mike Hlas wonders if Iowa State didn’t rob itself of early momentum with Paul Rhoads' controversial onside kick after going ahead of Iowa last week.
-Mike Gundy tells the Oklahoman’s John Helsley he’s concerned with Kendall Hunter’s injured ankle and Oklahoma State’s rash of early penalties this season.
-Kansas State coach Bill Snyder has wired together a better-than-expected defense, the Topeka Capital-Journal's Austin Meek writes. The offense, however, is another story.

Gotham Bowl??
I hope Spud gets better, we need him, but I am confident in our plan Bs
