Small blurb in the DOK this morning stating that the game will NOT be moved. Gundy had made the decission to keep the game as scheduled as it would provide to be too hard on alot of fans to get to a week day game.

From the TW:
Cowboys, A&M game unchanged

STILLWATER -- The date of Oklahoma State's Big 12 football meeting with Texas A&M will not change, Cowboy coach Mike Gundy said on Wednesday.
The Cowboys and Aggies are set to meet in the Saturday, Oct. 4 conference opener at Boone Pickens Stadium.
ESPN had proposed that the game be moved to Thursday, Oct. 2, with a 7 p.m. kickoff.
"It's hard for our fans to get here when it's a school night," Gundy said. "A lot of loyal fans have to drive an hour to an hour-and-a-half. It's a disruption of the schedule.
"There were a lot of pros and cons. I'm sure the merchants in this community would love to have it on Saturday."

I'm curious how many people drive from further than 1.5 hours out to games. I know we have several on this board alone.

We drive from Altus. Used to fly from San Antonio.

Our drive is 2-1/2 hours, give or take, depending on traffic.
And there are a lot of Season ticket holders in this area.

I hope to get to the round-up tonight and if I do, I will certainly thank Mike for not moving the game to Thursday!!

Bu, but
The other message boards say they hate us fans. How is this possible?

Fly or drive from Austin for every game (usually miss one non-con a year). I'm glad, I have Aggie friends coming with us this year and that would have killed it.
