Could be anything.........
Player transferring?
Coaching Staff Vacancy?
As much as some folks hope, I would doubt its a resignation.
But, who knows.

STILLWATER - Oklahoma State University announced today that it will recommend to the OSU/A&M Board of Regents a one-year contract extension for Cowboy head football coach Mike Gundy. The Regents will next meet on Dec. 7. With board approval, Gundy’s contract would run through the 2013 season.
“We appreciate the job Coach Gundy is doing and believe he and his staff are making progress in moving OSU football to the next level. I am particularly pleased with the success our student-athletes are having in the classroom under Coach Gundy’s leadership,” said interim OSU System CEO and President Marlene Strathe.
“During the 2005 season we won just one conference game,” said Oklahoma State’s Vice President for Athletic Programs and Director of Athletics Mike Holder. “We saw improvement last year and this year we were competitive in every conference game but the last one. That shows improvement to me.”
Gundy is completing his third season as the OSU head football coach. In December the Cowboys will appear in their second straight bowl game, making Gundy just the third coach in OSU history to lead the Cowboys to two bowls in his first three seasons on the job.
Under Gundy’s direction, the Cowboys have become one of America’s most exciting offensive teams. The 2007 Cowboys will enter the postseason eighth nationally in total offense and rushing. Over the last two seasons, OSU has had first-team all-Big 12 selections at wide receiver, running back, tight end and offensive line. Last season, OSU led its conference in rushing for the first time in school history. The 2007 Cowboys easily lead the league with 245 rushing yards per game as Oklahoma State goes for a repeat rushing title.
In Gundy’s three seasons, OSU is 17-19 and has improved from sixth, to fifth, to third in the Big 12 South standings. The Cowboys’ 4-4 Big 12 record in 2007 ties OSU’s second best conference record since the Big 12 was formed in 1996. The four wins equal OSU’s conference victory total for the previous two seasons combined.
Also under Gundy, OSU set a new school record for academic all-conference choices with 13 in 2006. OSU has also inked two straight top-25 recruiting classes for the first time in school history.
OSU’s 2007 record of 6-6 was achieved against the nation’s toughest schedule, according to the NCAA.

Kiefer? Huh?
Pat Jones once said OSU couldn't beat Keifer High School. Uh, I may be spelling it wrong. It could be Keefer High School.

That's the way to do it. Do really, really bad your first year so that even a mediocre improvement is seen as progress. :)
