OK, help! Did we hire Spencer or not?

Also, what is the deal with the DL'man out of Utah, dad is polysdad or something similar. Colo has offered him but WE haven't? The kid sure looks like a winner and would be one we would love in Stillwater. Any info folks?

Also note we lost out on the RB in Ark. so guess we'll wait until next year.
however, I found that most of the big time RB's for 2009 are already
committed and we were not on most of their list. Any input here?

I'll be out of town until Friday so I'll check back with you kind Poke fans.
PLEASE bring some great news ref. Wed.'s signings :)

Jbug over and out.

Yes, we hired Spencer. Supposedly he's a solid recruiter, hard to really know much about him as a coach. Hopefully he will teach something besides just a bull rush to our linemen but only time will tell.

As far as the DT out of Utah I'm just not sure if we have space for him or not. IMO I'd rather take him over Mosley with the final spot. Nothing against Mosley but we need DT's more than we need TE's. My guess is that he'll end up at CU since he visited them last week.

Yeah we lost out on Curtis, tough to get a kid out of Arkansas even if the new coach is a jerk. There are still plenty of good running backs out there uncommitted for 2009. We don't have to look much further than our own back yard to find two, Oku and Smith from Union. Both are Top 100 recruits and we have a shot with both of them. Hopefully we won't wait around on Oku so long that we miss out on Smith.

A couple of schools have asked Keni (DT out of Utah) to wait until after Wednesday to see if we might have a spot for him... suggesting that if one of our kids bails at the last minute, that we might offer him that day.

We have a couple that are on the fence . . .

He became "elilgible" only very recently, so nobody was really recruiting him since everyone thought he was headed to JUCO... now we've already made offers to others...

sort of a, oh darn, if we had only known earlier, situation.
