It's been known among UGA insiders that Cox has had "dead-arm" issues since fall began and has struggled with that problem his entire career.

Now it has come out that Joe is "sick" and is not traveling with the team. He will take a separate flight.

Crappy news all around. If he can't go, expect to see Missouri native Logan Gray lead the offense.

If that is the case I feel bad for the kid.

He seems to be a very solid guy and has patiently been the backup his whole career.

Im sure he was looking for his opportunity to be the starter.

That is unfortunate. The kid waits to get his chance and now the arm won't cooperate. I hope he recovers. I want OSU to play the best Georgia team available; a true test, so to speak.

Hate hearing this...

I'm ready to just play this game. Seems like players have been going by the wayside more and more. Geez.

Man that sucks. Not only for the kid but for the whole team.

Has he had the surgery? Or any work done on the shoulder?

Poor kid. If it's true that he has a bug, I'm betting he'll be well over it and good to go for the game. When you're young, athletic and motivated, no virus can keep you down for long. Best luck to him for a quick recovery.

Good grief, this has been a bad week for both of our teams.

What exactly is "dead arm" issues? Not sure I have heard that term before?

Hate to hear any of that as I wanted a full strength vs full strength matchup. You would think if teams had any chance of getting that is would be the first game but guess not...

My understanding of "dead arm" is that he can still throw, but he has a lot less velocity and can't put any zip on anything.

That's too bad for Joe Cox... I have a lot of respect for kids that stick it out in their programs for extended amounts of time, even when it means riding the bench and waiting for your turn.

Still, I for one am not going to be complaining if Georgia isn't 100 percent. I hope that doesn't sound like I'm gloating over Cox's injury or anything, but at this point, I'll take any advantage we can get.

Regardless of whether Georgia is at their full strength or not, the fact is that at the end of the day, a "W" is still a "W".

Google is your friend.

Try Dead Arm Syndrome. It is very much akin to rotator cuff problems but more painful.

Question:

(Hypothically speaking)

IF you place your bet and lock in your spread, and then the game is "removed" from the board, it does NOT effect the already placed bet.

Yes?
