Jamal Mosley, a sophomore who would have been Oklahoma State's starting tight end this season, has left the team for personal reasons.

On OSU's depth chart released this week, Mosley was listed as a starter for Saturday's season-opening meeting with Georgia. But on Tuesday morning, Cowboy coach Mike Gundy confirmed that Mosley, a native of Memphis, Tenn., is leaving the Cowboy program.

“Jamal Mosley is leaving our football team for personal reasons," Gundy said in a statement issued by the university. "He has been a good teammate and we wish him the best. We will have no further comment on this matter.”

Sophomore tight end Wilson Youman is expected to be promoted to the starting position.

Youman has more experience than Mosley did but less talent. The good news is we are loaded at this position with Youman, Horton, Basset, and even Tracy Moore (though he is listed as WR).

The interesting thing is he Mosley is not even listed on the official roster so that tells me he has been gone for a little while and we are just hearing because of the media blackout. The good news for that is the team has had a chance to practice and get ready without him.
