Ok, so everyone knows that last Valentine's Day i rec'd this little angel:

And although i didn't think i wanted another one (take time away from the above princess) i look on the breeder's website and see this little angel:

Demi

Me thinks Jaycee would LOVE Demi. That would be 4 dogs. Weenie, shitzue, and 2 yorkies. Not counting the new stray outside. (chih-mix) I'd have some major convincing to do. But, the shitzue won't be around much longer. She's 14 years old.

Not at all. The more the merrier. I envy you for having so many "friends". Wish I had the time and space for more. Maybe some day.

As far as us exchanging gifts....probably won't happen....at least I hope not as I have not bought anything. But that is fine with me......we do special things alot during the year.

However....like Annie.....I would LOVE to have another dog. Problem is we have two Labs and I want another Lab. (acutally the problem is the husband.....I would have already had maybe one or two more!! :D ;) )They are both allowed indoors when we are home and sleep inside at night. No way could I leave a third one outside alone and I just don't think our house is prepared for another dog. :)

Oh well.....maybe someday!! :)

Everyone needs a lab of each color!!! (which is what I have plus a beagle, 3 horses, 3 cats, and currently 11 llamas).

Annie, Demi is adorable and would make a great addition to your critter family.

As to Valentine's Day, I just hope we are both feeling healthy!! Both of us got the flu stuff that is going around and have been SICK!!!

You definitely won't be hurting for snow there. Last report I saw was a 78" base. Probably my most favorite place to ski. Have fun!!

My wife promised me a New England Super Bowl champs t-shirt but now I'm thinking we might give each other a new printer since the one we have died on us. Real romantic, huh? I haven't even got her a card. I hope they have some left and the Easter cards aren't out yet.

You could send her flowers, but women want you to put thought into flowers. They usually dislike the dozen red roses deal. They would like to see some effort put into it. (Just what I've noticed over my 25 years of marriage)

Or like $200 worth of white roses....a few dozen etc....

Since you won't be there in person, and if you sent them to her work....you may be a hero, IF you do it right.

Not my wife. She loves the red roses, the more and more often, the better. She likes other arrangements as well, but the absolute favorite is red roses.

I'd rather have pink roses.

And my husband knows to tell the florist any color is fine, as long as it is not red! For our 7th anniv. he got in an argument with the florist who said he should send me a dozen red roses. He said NO, it's our 7th anniv. and I'd prefer orange. So I got 7 coral colored roses and they were gorgeous!

Ok Mason......Cactus is right. You want to blow her away then send red roses BUT LOTS of THEM to HER WORK. Why?

Because it will show the women that she works with that she has a "first class man" who is ready, willing and able to spend money on her. I know I will get some grief from some of the women on this board but women DO in fact like to laud it over each other. It will impress the hell out of her and her coworkers. Key word: coworkers. And she will know that you are truly interested in her.

Write some mushy crap on the card like: Roses are red, Violets are blue, When I think of you, I want to screw (just kidding on that one :D ). But you get the idea. Lament about not getting to be with her, etc, etc.

About 4 dozen ought to do. A dozen or two for her to leave at the office (to continue to show her coworkers what a nice guy you are) and a couple of dozen to take home so that she can admire and wonder about this new guy she has hooked up with.

I have personally done this myself and it worked very well.

Ok, let us know.

We went skiing there many years ago. There was sooo much snow that the whole town was like a maze. We stayed on the second floor of a place and the snow was at the windows. We were there with a church group and someone stole our bus and moved it, apparently they didn't like us taking up the street parking.:)

Thats funny. They have had ALOT of snow the past week or so. The base is over 80 inches. A few years ago they had about 40 inches while we were there. I brought my mom with us on that trip. It was outstanding, and she loved it so. We pulled into Gunnison at 6:30am, and it was 29 below zero. We hit the mountain at 9am, and made our first run. Felt like needles going into your face! We skied straight to the bottom and went in and I had to buy about $150 worth of facial covers, etc....for the family.

I tell ya, theres nothing like sitting in the hot tub outside with a bunch of beer and friends while it snows about 4-6 inches in a couple hours. With a heated pool next to you as well!!! Last year not as much snow, so we are excited for sure.

WELL.. A few good ideas. I didn't even knew that they made White Roses.. Bad thing is, she doesn't have a job. She's finishing up school this semester. So that leaves the "Coworkers" part out. Ha. And as far as flying her to Daytona, it would be impossible to get her in, and I would get to see her for long that day.. I think i'll find some Roses, and something fuzzy, and cuddly to send her! Got a few days left to think about it..

My idea would be to buy her several Valentine's cards (six or seven). For each card, write sweet sentiments. You could hide them in drawers or places you know she will find them at home the day you leave or you can mail them individually to her. She could get one each day you are gone or get all of them on Valentine's Day. Roses on top of that should make amends for not being there with her on Valentine's Day.
