I didn't go to that part of the day, but having been on the field for an hour and a half starting about 3 pm, let me just say that conditioning and depth are certainly going to be factors on Sept 5.

Here is a photo from my Blackberry in which I tried to get both me and the new video board in the SW corner. The board display was nice, too bad the Blackberry takes the world's crappiest photos.

John Clanton of the Oklahoman took this picture of my oldest, Kory, while we were waiting in line in front of GIA.

We had a good time, but we only made it through 2 zones and got out at 8:00. MUCH bigger crowd this year than in years past. We were worn out.

I thought the day went very good. There were WWAAAAYYYY more people there this year than years past. A few years ago I took the family to this and we were done with all 4 stations in just over 1 hour. This year it took 2+ hours just to get thru the QB line. To those that are complaining about the format, there really isn't a better way to do it, especially with the amount of people that showed up this year. My only complaint is the Event Staff needs to enforce the only 1 item rule. OSU could also ease everyone's pain by showing video clips on the video boards in GIA. As Walt Disney learned long ago, people don't mind standing in long lines, if you can entertain them while they are there. Another thing the organizers could have done, was to pass out the information cards about who was in each of the Zone's prior to you reaching the door.

A BIG THANKS to Dez, and Zac, for sticking it out until 8:25PM.

Maybe the players could just hand out ink pens with their names on them to the fans. It would certainly be simpler, faster and less wear and tear on them. ;)

Wasn't there an actor that did that instead of signing autographs?
