The yard is now Bradford Pear Tree "free" as of yesterday afternoon. The "remains" of the last POS are on the curb, waiting on the claw.:D

Bradford Pears are kind of the Goon fan of the tree world. Can't spit without hitting one, and they ain't worth a flip.

I talked with my daughter earlier, and she said they finally came and took all the tree crap out of my front yard. She said they made a mess of my front yard with gouges from the claw. Oh well, at least that stuff is gone now.

with the winds we have had in texass today (up 60mph gusts) I hope it does not take mine out. It is the only shade I have in the summer. Reminds me of growing up in Oklahoma

If you are looking for a new tree to plant, take a look at the Lace Bark Elm and the Golden Lace Bark Elm. The latter tree was developed here in Oklahoma.
