Yep, thats my car and yep, thats a pond. My six year old son Trae got in the passenger seat and moved the stick shift out of gear. The car rolled into the pond with Trae still in it and me chasing after. I jumped in right after the car and got Trae out and he is okay. What a day. If I couldn't laugh I'd go insane.

I am real glad to hear your son was not hurt. I did something similar when I was his age, except was lucky enough to hold up the emergency brake and lay on the horn till my brother came and bailed me out.

With toys like this it's a wonder all kids don't think cars float.

If you are talking about this one it should be dried out by the time he is old enough to drive.

I did something like that when I was little. My nana had just bought a brand new Dodge Dart. She had probably had it three days. She stops in the Safeway at 23rd and Rockwell for a loaf of bread. She leaves me in the vehicle with the keys. I pretend i'm driving and turn on the key and put it in a gear. Vehicle rolls backwards for a distance and SMACKS into the side of another car.

Man, I got my butt beat for that one!

Junkie's Daughter---I have been right here all day long----We always tried to tell you three kids that payback can be _ _ _ _ didn't we? What about the time you took the 34 Ford out for a joy ride and you really thought that your Dad didn't know about it? Come on ----what goes around usually comes around!!!!

Just so thankful that all ended well and I am certain Trae will ALWAYS REMEMBER THIS SPECIAL DAY IN YOU AND JASON'S HEARTS!!!!!! To you and Jason--welcome to parenthood.

Of course I love all of three of you!!!

It's alive. The car will be back on the road tomorrow. Luckily my friend who owns the pond can fix anything. He has experience fixing flood cars and has been a huge help with the car. We've been working on it all week and to my amazement it's pretty much back to normal.

So proud of ILLINIPOKE for bringing the Beast back to life. Traezilla being grounded is about to drive me nuts, we all know how short of a trip that is! OSU55 what can I say? Dad never said a word about the 34 Ford for many years, and when he did he just said that I did the same stupid crap my brothers did I was just smarter than them and didn't get caught. LOL I'm sure he's been laughing hard at the ongoings here all week and of course yelling with Great Joy----I TOLD YOU SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

how is the smell?

It's a little fishy but that will go away. I just can't believe how good the car runs. It's my work car and has over 200,000 miles on it and still runs great.

I drove it today to take our recycling and it runs better than before the bath! The smell isn't bad at all yet? Yay to the F1-50 Ford Escort!
