I know several posters on this board have been through chemotherapy. The attached article shows that some people can experience temporary or permanate loss of some brain functions. My wife had chemotherapy after breast cancer 12 years ago. She had a mind like a trap before the chemotherapy. Since then she has had short term memory problems. Things like she will feed the cats and then start to feed them again 15 or 30 minutes later. I have to tell her she's already fed them. Then 30-45 minutes later she will ask if she has fed the cats.

Anyway the article link is shown below -

Fifty years from now or less, we will look back on chemotherapy as snake oil.

I'm very sorry to hear your wife is having problems; I didn't even know about this until I read the article. Sadly, everything that helps (chemo) does have a downside. I'm blessed; the only problem I have is "slight" lymphedema, but I know things could be much worse.

Oh, I am sorry about your wife's problem. I have had breast cancer and chemo, too. I don't have any more "mental fog" than I had before, though. That's good because I really can't afford to lose any mental acuity!

Jimbob & O-sure, thanks for your sympathy and kind words. I mentioned my wife's short term memory problems but the overall picture is not as bad as it may seem. She has lived 12 years since the breast cancer and has more-than-likely beat the cancers (double breast & one colon). Other than the short term memory problems she is sharp as a tack.

She does have problems using our remote controls as it takes three (1-cable box, 2-TV, 3-DVD, VCR recorder-player). However, she had those problems before chemo so it may be somewhat of a gender problem. Of course, being the man of the house, I like to keep them within my reach and out of her reach.

Wow, she must be a very strong woman to get through all of that. I am impressed!

What is this "slight" limpydickie that you claim to have? It either works, or it doesn't.
