Q: You know what you call a criminal with a badge?

A: A criminal.

You guys hear the story about the four criminals in Florida who conspired to "fix" the collision against the drunk lady when it was really one of the criminal's fault?

After seeing the video, I don't think there's a whole lot left to investigate.

Here's a link if someone doesn't know what he's talking about. I know it's on the evil msnbc website, but it was the first result I found on google. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/32266883/ns/today-today_people/

How many weeks will they be out on paid leave before the police administration get around to determining what everybody else is able to determine in 10 seconds? If only those officers cared as much about enforcing the law on their peers as they do on the average citizen and they wouldn't be probably losing their jobs.

Yes, that's it. Thanks for posting the follow-up interview with the lady. I think she's looking at this the right way, too. Doesn't mean everybody's evil, just these particular criminals.

I get angry every time I think about this.

There is a similar incident from California that is going to trial soon. A guy named Bismark Dinius and some friends were sailing a boat on a lake at night. There was no wind so they were mainly drifting. A sheriff's deputy hit them in a Baja-type powerboat going 55-60 mph and killed a woman, destroyed the sailboat. The deputy was not administered the breathalyzer and was driven around for quite a while before taking him to the hospital to have his alcohol test drawn. The Dinius guy was breathalyzered and charged with manslaughter for killing the woman because he was over the legal limit even though he was not responsible for the crash and the guy driving the powerboat was not obeying the Colregs that help prevent boat collisions. The DA has refused to drop the charges even though it is obvious the sheriff's dept is stacking the deck, so to speak. Hopefully justice will be done in this case as well.
