View Full Version : NEW COMMIT- We're rollin'
OL man Koenig(sp) out of Fla. a legacy for the POKES...nice O line shapin' up
Come on...get excited! This is going fantastic.
If we could just get two more Ol men, two DT's, one more DE,
3 more CB's/S's and two more WR (top drawer, 4 or 5 star types) WE WOULD kick ass with National REcuriting ratings!!!!:cowboy::cowbell::food-smiley-004::action-smiley-033:

Actually, DT and LB are the two areas of concern to me. There are several DBs that would be impressive additions too. Addressing the defensive side of things as thoroughly as possible will insure improvement even as we lose key offensive players next year. I find myself smiling most of the time now when I think about OSU's prospects for the future...Go Cowboys!
T-Ken...suppose to be a bunch of great LBs in next years, 2011, recruiting class. DT's now are tough. I sure would like to pick up a couple of big fellows that are built like iron men and can run.

Reading stories about Kolb, who I went to school with, and others entering the Oklahoma Hall of Fame, and the enthusiasm they have for our future is almost overpowering. My father, my brothers, nephews, nieces, et al., attended and in most cases graduated from OSU. Great feeling! Go Cowboys!

I started the march to Stillwater in my family. My brother, sister and one niece have followed me. I have another niece who was born and bred in Texas will be on her way to Stillwater soon.
My mother was born in Stillwater, Okla., so I guess she really started it all.
Go Cowboys!
Go All the Way!
I'm getting excited as each day passes. How could we not be getting excited?

We won't take 2 more WRs, we've already got Johnson, Nelson and Dinkins might play WR instead of Safety. We'll probably take one more but that's only if that one is Darius White. If we can get his mother to come on a official visit and talk with Mrs. Middlebrook we'll have a decent shot. And that's actually saying a lot in terms of how far we've come in recruiting.
I think we've got about ten spots left. Hopefully one will be Shaun Lewis to fill the star LB spot, two will go to CBs with hopefully Hurd and Porter getting those (or maybe Ciante Evans). I think we'll take another Safety which I REALLY hope will go to Tommie Saunders and if not him Harvey Jackson. The defensive line will be interesting because we have Rome who is listed as a DE put could possibly move inside to DT. There are still a lot of DT left on the board that OSU has a good shot at. I think the big targets left there are Wheeler, Barnett and Littlehead. And there is also Okafor who is another DE but he might move inside as well. I'm hopeful we can get Tank Sessions to rethink his commitment to Florida State.
Hopefully Du'Von Millsap will be a commit at the offensive guard spot but getting him out of Georgia might be hard to do. I would also like to see Denton Simek commit to OSU if we're taking 4 O-lineman.
Getting another ATH prospect like Eric Bennett would be fantastic cause he could play almost anywhere and would be a great option for punt and kickoff returns. This new commit Cooper will fit that spot as well.... his defensive and offensive stats during his Junior season were sick and had 6 combined TDs on returns.
I'd like to see this happen...
WR - White
OLB - Lewis
CB - Hurd
CB - Porter
S - Saunders
DT - Wheeler
DT - Barnett
DE - Sessions
OG - Millsap
OT - Simek
ATH - Bennett
That would be AWESOME!!!! :cowboy:

Wow..I was a little behind on some of the prospects mentioned. This class is really shaping up to be a real meat and potatos type of group, folks that can beef up a team on both sides of the loc. Good posts Cowboys! Go OSU!

Chase Rome DE/DT and Caleb Lavey LB are big time recruits. OSU did well with linebackers in 09, things look good there, would like to see one or two more good DT's in this class.
OSU has some young studs in the secondary but needs to add a few more for depth and competition.
I agree that OSU's prospects for the futue have probably never looked better.
This is shaping up to be a big time recruiting class. Just hope the current commits hold to their pledges and that we pick up !/2 of the ones 'fireman' list on his wish list.
